On June 29th 2023, the results of the #IMM2023 Future Tech Bootcamp as well as the results of the 4-month #IMM2023 co-creation process were presented.

The Future Tech Bootcamp took place from June 26th till June 29th 2023 at the UAS St. Pölten, at the GEMINI Startup Base in Salzburg, at the INN.Kubator in Passau and online. The 4-month #IMM2023 run officially kicked off back in March.

MATCHMAKING EVENT

On June 27th, 2023 at 10:00 am, we have organised our next Innovation Café on the topic of "Creative Industries & Digital Media" in cooperation with WTZ Ost and the Digital Makers Hub. The event took place as a side event at our 4-day Future Tech Bootcamp at the UAS St. Pölten.

The main goal of the event was to bring researchers and their latest findings to the forefront and to connect them in a relaxed setting with representatives from companies, who may find these very findings enormously helpful in their daily business and economic success.

The intro part of the event was broadcast on the Zoom main stage of our Future Tech Bootcamp. Here you can find the recording.

A 4-DAY CO-CREATION SESSION

From June 26th till June 29th we organised in cooperation with Digital Makers Hub, UAS St. Pölten, IV Niederösterreich, GEMINI Startup Base, Innovationsraum 3, INN.Kubator and further partners the 5th edition of our 4-day future tech bootcamp in hybrid format. It was accessible online via zoom and chat as well as on site at the UAS St. Pölten, the GEMINI Startup Base in Salzburg and the INN.Kubator in Passau.

Industry meets Makers started the 8th round

On March 9th 2023 at 4 pm it was that time again! Industry meets Makers entered its 8th round. 

Infineon & Würth Elektronik, Philips Domestic Appliances, the City of Amstetten, bee produced, LiSEC, the City of Tulln, Gebauer & Griller, TU Wien, Meshmakers & GEMINI Startup Base, UAS Wiener Neustadt & Makerspace A, tec2bee as well as net for future & beta campus presented 12 exciting challenges, which can be worked on together over the next 4 months.

The 7th time over the finish line

On October 20th, 2022, our IMM teams crossed the finish line for the 7th time. As part of the Digital Days 2022 of the DigitalCity.Wien initiative, which took place for the first time in the Impact Hub Vienna, they presented what they had achieved together in the previous 6 months. Afterwards, they were awarded with our very well-deserved iMMi prize and celebrated properly.

A 4 DAYS INTENSIVE DEVELOPMENT SESSION IN HYBRID FORMAT

From June 26th until June 30th, 2022 we held the 4th edition of our annual Future Tech Bootcamp in St. Pölten, Salzburg, Linz, Amstetten, Klagenfurt, Vienna and online.

Our agenda this year was dominated by the future tech challenges of our partners Infineon * Tributech * Magenta, Philips Domestic Appliances Austria, Schwarzmüller and the TU Wien, which focused on smart, safe and sustainable IoT solutions, innovative loading applications using AI and sensor technology, new food management solutions for private households, kitchen appliance extensions as well as the search for new use cases for patented technologies in the field of green hydrogen, water desalination and liquid extraction.

OUR ANNUAL HIGHLIGHT EVENT 2021

On October 18th, 2021, our Industry meets Makers participants successfully crossed the finish line for the 6th time as part of the Best of #IMM2021 online event at the Digital Days. After a short welcome from our supporters and network partners and the presentation of this year's iMMi award, 9 teams presented what they had achieved together in the previous 6 months.

From June 21st to June 24th, our next Future Tech Bootcamp successfully took place and the results were once again sensational. Some of them can already be seen in this article. We are at the start!

On the morning of June 21st 2021, our 3rd Future Tech Bootcamp got underway – broadcast via video conference and live feed from the TV studio at the UAS St. Pölten.

After a short welcome by the main organisers, supporters and event partners, our industry partners presented 12 exciting challenges, which could then be worked on together with them for 4 days. Afterwards, the experts and local maker spaces who helped our teams with their special know-how and infrastructure during the entire co-creation process presented themselves.

Ein neues Open Source Modul, das Transparenz schafft!

Im Laufe des Jahres 2020 haben die Teams von Industry meets Makers und PRIA im Rahmen eines netidee-geförderten Projekts gemeinsam an der Entwicklung von „Delete Your Data“ (DYD) gearbeitet, einem Open Source Modul, das einfach und unkompliziert in neue Online-Community-Plattformen integriert werden kann und es ihren NutzerInnen optional ermöglicht, ihre Daten ohne Zutun des Plattformbetreibers zu anonymisieren oder komplett zu löschen.

Das 1. Mal komplett virtuell & trotzdem voll erfolgreich!

Am Abend des 30.9.2020 fand unser 5. Best of Industry meets Makers - Event im Rahmen der Digital Days - Online-Konferenz statt, bei dem von unseren diesjährigen Teams erneut 13 sehr spannende Projektergebnisse vorgestellt werden konnten. Industry meets Makers 2020 - das 1. Mal komplett digital

Die Video-Aufzeichnungen unseres 1. Online-Kick-off-Events am 16.4.2020

Nachdem wir aufgrund der COVID-19-Sicherheitsvorgaben unsere ursprünglich geplanten Kick-off-Veranstaltungen im März und April absagen mussten, haben wir Industry meets Makers für’s Erste nun einfach komplett auf digital umgestellt und am 16.4. um 15:00 in Kooperation mit der Brutkasten unseren 1. Online-Kick-off-Event organisiert. Der 2. Anlauf zum Start unserer 5. Runde hat geklappt. Ab sofort kann wieder munter genetzwerkt und co-kreiert werden. In den Video-Aufzeichnungen des Kick-offs ist zu sehen, mit welchen Partnern und Themen wir 2020 an den Start gehen.

Pilze und Blockchain

Runde 4 - we did it! :)

Am Abend des 4. Novembers 2019 sind die teilnehmenden IndustrievertreterInnen und MacherInnen im Rahmen der von der DigitalCity.Wien-Initiative veranstalteten Digital Days das 4. Jahr in Folge gemeinsam über die Ziellinie gelaufen. Beim Best of Industry meets Makers - Event in der Grand Hall am ERSTE Campus in Wien konnte im Zuge dessen erneut präsentiert und diskutiert werde, was die #IMM2019-Teams in den vergangenen 7 Monaten zusammen co-kreiert haben, was aufgegangen ist und was nicht, was in diesem Jahr völlig neu war und wie es im Anschluss weitergeht.

Vom 25. bis 28.6. haben wir mit und an der FH St. Pölten sowie dem Support weiterer starker Partner, wie der IV Niederösterreich, der Smartup-Initiative, DigitalCity.Wien, der Zukunftsakademie Mostviertel, der Wirtschaftskammer Niederösterreich und ecoplus, unser 1. Future Tech Bootcamp zu den Themenschwerpunkten AI, IoT und Blockchain organisiert – das nächste ergebnisoffene IMM-Experiment, das sich als echtes Erfolgsformat entpuppt hat!

Industry meets Makers startet in die 4. Runde

Unsere #IMMgoesWEST-Kick-off-Serie von Wien über Amstetten nach Linz mit dem IMM Speed Dating Train der ÖBB

Am 20. und 21.3. haben wir mit einer Kick-off Serie in Wien, Amstetten und Linz unsere 4. Industry meets Makers - Runde offiziell eingeläutet, in der wir mit Hilfe der Unterstützung starker lokaler Partner das 1. Mal - neben dem Kernraum Wien - auch laufende Aktivitäten in weiteren Bundesländern Österreichs setzen werden. Niederösterreich, Oberösterreich, Salzburg und die Steiermark sind im Zuge dessen bereits fixer Teil unseres Jahresgesamtprogramms und eine weitere Aktion in Kärnten auch schon in Planung.

Das initiale Industrie- und Netzwerkpartnertreffen 2019

Am 15. Jänner sind wir das 1. Mal zusammengekommen, um uns für das Jahr 2019 vorzubereiten, unsere Pläne und neuen Partner vorzustellen und den IMM-Newcomern durch Talks mit bisherigen IMM-Teilnehmern (Industrievertretern & Makern) einen möglichst guten Eindruck davon zu vermitteln, wie IMM läuft.

Unser Treffen durften wir dankenswerterweise im inspirierenden Ambiente des TV-Studios der ProSiebenSat1Puls4-Gruppe anberaumen, die mit ihrem internationalen 4Gamechangers-Festival, das zum Meta-Motto “Europe meets Asia” vom 9.4. bis 11.4. in der Marx Halle in Wien stattfinden wird, in diesem Jahr zu einem unserer ganz starken Programmpartner zählt.

Wir ziehen das 3. Mal Resümee

Am Mittwoch, dem 3. Oktober 2018 um 18.00 präsentierten die 7 Industrie-Briefing-Partner AVL/List, Bosch, Fronius, Infineon, Magna Steyr, Nokia und die Post gemeinsam mit 13 Maker-Teams im Rahmen unseres Best of #IMM2018-Events bei den Digital Days am ERSTE Campus, was sie im Zeitraum der vorangegangenen 6,5 Monate des kollaborativen Industry meets Makers - Entwicklungsprozesses gemeinsam erlebt, gelernt und geschafft haben und wie es im Anschluss weitergeht.

Eine Veranstaltung von Blockchain Austria, 0bsnetwork, 1030 Innovation, DigitalCity.Wien und Industry meets Makers

Am 20.9.2018 haben Blockchain Austria (Lorena Skiljan), 1030 Innovation (Verena Kuen), 0bsnetwork (Srdjan Kupresanin), DigitalCity.Wien (Ulrike Huemer) und Industry meets Makers (Sandra Stromberger) gemeinsam ein eintägiges Blockchain Beachcamp in der Strandbar Herrmann in Wien organisiert.

Der Tag war einfach sensationell! Am Programm standen spannende Keynotes und Showcase-Präsentationen von echten Top-Experten und Big Playern, interaktive Break-out-Session-Formate für verschiedene Know-how-Levels, gemeinsames Mingling & Networking, ein Blockchain Hackathon, bei dem mit Hilfe der 0bsnetwork-Blockchain-Plattform in nur 6 Stunden (!!!) 3 funktionstüchtige Prototypen (!!!) entwickelt werden konnten, sowie eine abschließende Panel Discussion mit erstklassiger Besetzung und zukunftsweisendem Output.
