Initial situation

TELE organises its everyday working life in the 23rd district of Vienna. We live together with the Factory Hub Vienna on 3,500 square meters. Almost half of our space is used for our electronics production. Here we manufacture electronic products for our customers with our own production and assembly lines.

Our customers are from industry, but also startups. Based on our guiding formula "sustainable + innovation = profitable", one of our goals as a company is to act ecologically sustainable. We have won several awards for this in the past.

We have the second largest photovoltaic plant in Vienna and already produce about 90,000 KWh per year. This year, we will significantly expand our photovoltaic surface with about 72 KWp by 61 KWp.

Task definition

We are looking for ideas and concepts to make the best use of the electricity we produce ourselves by means of new technologies and optimised processes. Our goal for the future is to make TELE as energy self-sufficient as possible. We make the entire company and its products available for your ideas.

There are no limits to your thinking. We love solutions that go beyond the usual concepts!

You can develop an overall concept for the entire building or just optimise or further develop individual machines, TELE products or selected areas.

Your project can include hardware, software or both and change our processes.

Perspective

Throughout the entire duration of this year's Industry meets Makers program, we will support you with expert know-how. For the duration of the challenge we will provide you with a place at TELE or in our Factory Hub.

We will organize demand-oriented workshops and meetings with you (www.playground.team) and provide you with access to our company, including production, photovoltaic system and our network.

In the age of "as well as" and not the old "either/or" it is also possible to cooperate on a long-term basis. The integration, respectively the linking of new technologies in TELE, in our production, or in our products is our goal.

Status quo

Since the kick-off meeting, we have been able to develop a first exciting solution approach for our smart factory together with a team of several experts. You are welcome to join this team. Alternatively, you can contact us at any time to discuss completely new approaches with us. Another good opportunity for both is the Virtual Future Tech bootcamp, which will take place from June 29th to July 2nd. Representatives of the existing maker team as well as experts from our company will be there to support the participants in the best possible way. In addition, we have also developed a specific briefing special for the Bootcamp, which builds on the previous preliminary considerations. See “The company of the future – energy saving and data”.
